Founded in 2015 by Josh Gunston and Jay McDougall (KXVU), Southpoint was born out of a desire to reinvigorate Brighton’s dance music scene while providing a platform for emerging and underrepresented talent. What started as a local movement has since evolved into a globally recognised force within underground dance music, staying true to a strong DIY ethos.
Over the past decade, Southpoint has established itself as a tastemaker, shaping the landscape of UK underground music through a carefully curated roster and forward-thinking releases. With a catalogue spanning over 500 releases, the label has played a pivotal role in breaking artists such as Bushbaby, Hamdi, and MPH while staying deeply connected to the evolving sounds of the scene. From sell-out club nights and festival takeovers to editorial recognition from UKF and Mixmag, Southpoint has built a reputation for quality, authenticity, and innovation.
