A solo indie game dev based in Porto, Portugal. Sub is the alter ego of Filipe Rodrigues, a dev inspired by loud music and weird movies.
As a one-man band, I handle all aspects of development, from game design, programming, art and sound to the less exciting stuff like marketing and bureaucracy. My mission with Subtales? To create handcrafted indie games with rich storytelling, stylized graphics, old-school inspired gameplay and plenty of cinematic influences.

A neo-noir psychological thriller where you play as a mundane janitor caught in the aftermath of a mysterious gunshot. Set in the 90s, this is a peculiar tale about obsession with the story unfolding in a decaying and morally bankrupt urban setting.
In this character-driven adventure there's a focus on character development, with a painstakingly hand-drawn 3D world, fully-voiced characters, dynamically narrated events and a point & click gameplay core.
