Kajal Karni Bajaj - Owner and Cake Artist
With a professional background in art and fashion design from N.I.F.T and Fashion Institute of Technology, NY, Kajal started her career in Home and Design in Toronto, Canada. The intertwining of art, design and baking happened quite by chance as it began with planning her daughter's first birthday cake! Driven to learn from the best, she enrolled into and received a Masters in Confectionary Arts from Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts and has not looked back since. She has participated in several exhibitions/shows held in Toronto, Canada and New Delhi, India. Her creations have been featured in several magazines such as Harpers Bazaar and Vogue and was also featured on Fox TV show called "Be Your Own Boss".
Ranjit Bajaj - Co-owner and Head of Operations & Business Development
After completing B.Com (Finance) from University of Toronto, he started his banking career with HSBC in Commercial Banking which lasted for 10 years. He brings that experience of dealing with clients and knowledge of finance to Sugar Blossoms were he manages the operations and business development.Like many people, he got addicted to watching Masterchef Australia and a passion for all things sweet led him towards doing a Chocolate course with Ecole Chocolat and going to Belgium and learning from some of the best chocolatiers. His passion to create beautifully decorated bonbons and confectionary items led him to start Ebony & Ivory Chocolates.
