SDMT is a competitive team at Arizona State University, comprised of undergraduates and coached by law students and legal professionals.
Our program - one of the largest in the country - travels around the country to compete against other universities in a simulated jury trial competition. During practices, members prepare by learning about public speaking, trial advocacy, and the Federal Rules of Evidence.
Our program regularly hosts regional tournaments in coordination with the American Mock Trial Association, as well as an invitational tournament in the fall. We welcome and encourage mock trial alumni, law students, and legal professionals to volunteer and judge these competitions. For students seeking to get involved, we hold tryouts once a year in the fall.
