Sustainability with Koomson (SWK) is a youth-led, youth-focused non-profit organization
dedicated to promoting sustainable youth development and community empowerment in
Ghana. Our mission is to equip young people with the necessary skills, knowledge, and
opportunities to address critical issues related to environmental sustainability, community
development, natural resource governance, agriculture, leadership and personal growth.
Through active engagement with local assemblies and Metropolitan, Municipal, and District
Assemblies (MMDAs), we strive to create positive change in various communities across the
country.
Vision:
A Ghana where empowered and engaged youth are driving sustainable development,
contributing to thriving communities, and shaping a better future for themselves and their
nation.
Objectives:
● To provide educational and training programs that promote environmental awareness,
sustainable agricultural practices, community development initiatives, and responsible
natural resource governance.
● To foster leadership skills, personal development, and community engagement among
youth through workshops, mentorship programs, and hands-on experiences.
● To facilitate youth-led projects and initiatives that address local sustainability
challenges and contribute to community development.
● To advocate for youth participation and representation in decision-making processes
at the local assembly and MMDA levels.
● To collaborate with local communities, MMDAs, and other stakeholders to create a
more sustainable and equitable future for all.
