SustAInable is a Belgian-based start-up that applies state-of-the-art AI models for a better world. Currently, the main application of sustAInable is to create a predictive model to help water utility companies in finding a leakage within their Water Distribution Network (WDN) in a (1) faster, and (2) more efficient way. By using pressure measurements, the algorithm displays the regions within a District Metered Area (DMA) where the leakage is the most likely to be situated. This model was already applied by water utility companies and experiments showed that the economic savings can reach up to 84% to locate a leakage within a DMA.
