Developed a step by step certification program for municipalities that want to take steps towards being an environmentally sustainable community. The step by step guide leads those municipalities that want to go green, control costs and save money and take the steps they need to follow to sustain their quality of life over the long term. Sustainability Communities' program encompasses issues such as global warming, pollution, biodiversity, land use air and water quality, equity, buying local, local living economies, and sustainable agriculture. The program was designed to help local governments initiate programs, support and help their community become environmentally sustainable as well as educate their residents and businesses. Our Mission is to protect and improve the natural resources of all communities within the United States by uniting people, businesses and local governments to become sustainable for our future generations through the use of advocacy, education, legal and scientific resources.
