Launched on 8th of June 2022, SDSN Kazakhstan is part of the global initiative launched by the United Nations to mobilize expertise and resources from academia, civil society, private sector, and government to promote sustainable development. SDSN Kazakhstan, which currently comprises 25 members across the country, aims to advance the UNSDGs by fostering collaboration, research, and practical solutions at local, national, and global levels. SDSN Kazakhstan’s research priorities are shaped by the local context, stakeholder consultations, and prevailing challenges and opportunities in the country.
SDSN Kazakhstan currently focuses on the following three research priorities:
1. Land, Water, and Communities (SDG 7, 8, 9, 12)
2. Energy and Climate (SDG 7, 13)
3. Education and partnership (SDG 4, 10, 17)
