It is a non- governmental organisation established in 2023 with the aim of promoting effective social and economic development solutions to poverty by building sustainable livelihoods, promoting psycho-social wellbeing, developing skills and expanding equal opportunities for the vulnerable members of the community.
Sustainable Livelihoods Development Foundation Sustainable Livelihoods Development Foundation envisions a world with equal opportunities and resources for all, with communities that are psychologically strong and have improved standards of living.
Our Objectives;
a) To develop a livelihood program that promotes small enterprises' development by sequencing interventions such as formal and informal technical training, entrepreneurship training and mentorship, microfinance, value chain development and capacity building for cooperatives.
b) Monitor the progress of community-owned enterprises co-op to optimise benefits and reduce the possibility of failure.
c) Ensure that vulnerable and marginalised people, especially the youth are provided with opportunities to develop new skills that allow them to enter emerging employment sectors and feel included in the new globalised economy.
d) Investigate intra-household access to resources and carry out complementary studies into emerging new issues that affect women.
e) Raise awareness and consult with vulnerable and marginalised stakeholders on policy-making that affects them, to be informed by their analysis and take appropriate action to respond to their needs.
f) Advocate for social and economic rights of the vulnerable and marginalised communities such as health and education, protection from abuse, the well-being of the children and the elderly, and strengthen their capacity to claim their entitlements.
g) To support the vulnerable members of society and improve their psycho-social well-being, thereby building their self-esteem and resilience for better lifestyles.
h) To build climate-resilient communities
