SRDI is an international, non-profit social enterprise based in London.
Our central vision is a world with expanded development horizons in which social, cultural, business, and environmental needs can all be successfully met. To accomplish this, SRDI believes all economic development projects—large or small—should incorporate sustainable approaches from the planning process through implementation. SRDI also believes in an inclusive process involving all stakeholders in a community.
Our affiliated company, Vesselka Consulting, (https://www.linkedin.com/company/vesselka-consulting-ltd) increases our capabilities to include land and property reform, land administration and management, public and private capacity building, business process reengineering and overall project management. Vesselka Consulting brings provides SRDI with extensive world-wide experience working with and directing large and small scale projects for the World Bank, EU, USAID and the private sector.
SRDI's commercial component offers advisory, strategic planning, capacity building and project implementation services at competitive, non-profit rates.
Its showcase, in-house venture is the Black Sea Sustainable Rural Tourism Program that is establishing an integrated network of rural communities in Ukraine, Turkey, Georgia, Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria under a single visual banner. This community-based venture will generate revenues through sustainable tourism to member communities and SRDI to expand its work. The BSST Program incorporates Global Sustainable Tourism Council destination criteria to establish sustainable approaches in its communities.
