Svadha - a WASH startup (acronym stands for Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) - is the only global company driving an unorganized rural WASH market to a solution-driven organized sector. We provide a complete integrated solution for WASH which encompasses quality with affordable pricing. We have innovated a technology platform - WASH software as a service - which engages the WASH ecosystem to provide products and services to our rural customers. On the ground, the value chain is implemented via an army of rural entrepreneurs who earn livelihoods by being our Changemakers for their community. The key differentiation of Svadha is integrated supply chain management to provide customer-centric solutions on a sustainable basis at a convenient point of access.
The Swacch Bharat campaign, a noble initiative under the Government of India, is bringing access to sanitation to the needy. There is an urgent need for radical change at a pace to achieve universal access to sanitation. Svadha is currently being this “Good Change” in the rural sanitation environment by bringing dignity to about 10,000+ rural families which means about 50,000 rural people (especially women and girls) and at the same time provide employment opportunity to about 120 rural entrepreneurs.
Our Ashoka-awarded PIE (Participatory, ICT-enabled and Entrepreneur-led) model has been recognised by the Toilet Board Coalition as one of the 4 disruptive models globally in the space of sustainable provision of WASH solutions using market forces. We are the founding strategic partner of World Toilet Organisation in India and are also supported by Unilever, Kimberly Clark, and Grand Challenges Canada.
