The SWEL program offers a dynamic nine-week experience for high school and college students interested in pursuing careers in law. From June through early August, Scholars participate in paid internships Monday through Thursday, with professional development sessions held every Friday.
Throughout the program, Scholars gain hands-on experience, expand their professional networks, and lay the foundation for future success. They participate in internships, visit law schools, and engage in collaborative activities with peers, refining their skills and gaining the insights needed to make informed decisions about law school, the legal profession, and their career paths.
SWEL sets the stage for self-discovery by exposing Scholars to both the opportunities and challenges of practicing law through work experiences, coaching, and networking. The program bridges academic preparation with career exploration, providing exposure to various legal practice areas, corporate law, and courtroom environments. Our partnerships with law firms, courts, government offices, and corporations open doors to meaningful career opportunities across Greater Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton.
