We are proud to announce that the ISUG is the first and only officially registered SOLIDWORKS user group in Pakistan and interestingly, Islamabad SOLIDWORKS User Group (ISUG) is the Largest SOLIDWORKS User Group, not just on LinkedIn but Meetup also. Our group is working in partnership with SOLIDWORKS, registered under the SWUG Network (SWUGN). This global network connects SOLIDWORKS users from all over the world and is being operated by Dassault Systemes.
To further strengthen our user group, we took the next step of linking it with academia. We have established our first club, CEME SOLIDWORKS Club (CSC), at EME NUST, that is a constituent college of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), a top-ranked university in Pakistan according to QS Ranking. This serves as the hub of our activities.
Our primary goal is to promote SOLIDWORKS learning and skills among the youth of Pakistan, especially students so that they can contribute to the country's economy and society. We are so grateful to SOLIDWORKS for sponsoring 17 amazing perks for our members.
At Islamabad SOLIDWORKS User Group (ISUG), we are working on four Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
SDG 4: Quality Education. Through our online and in-person sessions
SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. Help businesses to improve their products and processes through Design Challenges.
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Organise competitions to build more sustainable infrastructure like green buildings, renewable energy systems, and public transportation.
SDG 13: Climate Action. Support organisations to design more efficient products, using recycled materials and reducing energy consumption.
Together we can make a better and prosperous world.
