Established at the beginning of 2011, EM Civil Pty Ltd/ TA Sydney Vacuum Excavation, is solely owned and operated by Eoin Moynihan. Arriving in Australia from Ireland in 2005, Eoin got stuck into work straight away and has now over 12 years experience under his belt, working in a broad range of areas across NSW.

What is Vacuum Excavation?
Becoming increasingly popular, Vacuum/Hydro Excavation uses a technique to safely excavate in situations where normal excavation machinery cannot be used. This non-destructive form of digging can remove almost any kind of surface without damaging existing infrastructures.
For example: telecommunications, fiber optics, Telstra cables and underground power lines, as well as around and under concrete and driveways. The possibilities are endless.
Our Vac Truck (also known as a ‘’Sucker truck’’), is a self contained unit which uses high pressure water at approx. 4000 psi (Gerny) to break down the soil, while a Vacuum Pump removes the soil/slop into a holding tank on the truck. This ensures little to no mess.
Examples of common use are: pot-holing, site cleaning, exposing utilities, any form of trenching, cleaning and mud/slurry removal and post holes.
