Sylphium molecular ecology started in 2012 as a service lab for environmental DNA (eDNA) analyzes and is located in the city of Groningen (Netherlands). We offer a total solution for eDNA analyzes for ecological questions and (swimming) water quality. Since 2018, we have been providing eDNA isolation and analysis capabilities using our kits at other laboratories. For this we have developed complete kits for sampling, isolation and analysis of eDNA samples. These kits have been fully validated for robustness, limit of detection, efficiency and repeatability. We also provide full support in setting up an eDNA laboratory and offer complete eDNA courses for staff.
