System Logistics, a Krones Group company, has made an asset acquisition of the Vertique business from Illinois Tool Works Inc. through its US subsidiary System Logistics Corporation (SLC). This acquisition represents for System Logistics an important strategic milestone in reinforcing its presence in the US food & beverage markets, where Vertique with its warehouse automation solutions and products plays an indisputable leading role. SLC-Vertique is located in Arden, North Carolina, and over the past 15+ years, has grown to be one of the most important key players in the food & beverage market providing solutions for intra-logistics. SLC-Vertique has 200+ employees based at the Arden facility in North Carolina. SLC-Vertique will continue to offer its solutions in the US as a business unit of System Logistics, spa. The ability to complement its offering with storage solutions provided by System Logistics further enhances SLC-Vertique’s market potential.
