Introduction of Taiwan Agile Tribe (TAT)
The Taiwan Agile Tribe (TAT) is an online Agile community that was established in June 2019. The English term "Tribe" represents numerous smaller tribes coming together to form a larger tribe. As of June 2023, TAT has 4,500 members. Primarily, TAT conducts online Zoom sessions and hosts one lecture every month, inviting esteemed and high-profile speakers. On average, each event attracts between 150 to 300 participants.
The Agile Tribe encourages the creation of more valuable bilateral discussions. Based on common Agile themes selected by community members, the Tribe promotes the mechanism of smaller communities. It enables those with shared interests to gather and form smaller groups revolving around different themes. Voluntary experts in specific fields take on the role of leading these smaller communities. In this way, a number of smaller tribes are born, forming self-organizing communities. From an Agile brand perspective, the Agile Tribe includes Scrum, XP, and Kanban communities among others. Beginning with common Agile roles, there are communities for Product Owners (PO), Scrum Masters (SM), and more. Those interested in the soft skills of Agile coaching would find it beneficial to join Agile + Coach co-learning, Communication, Triple A Coach Coffeehouse, and other such communities. Moreover, those wishing to learn Agile methods would find it rewarding to join the SM Agile Coach and Coaching communities. These diversified developments make the Taiwan Agile Tribe more vibrant. On average, these smaller communities host 120 free events per year.
