Tarantula Suisse SA was founded by Xavier Ruiz in 1999 in Geneva, under the name
"Navarro Films". At the beginning of the year 2006, Navarro Films joined Tarantula, a
group of independent European producers. Navarro Films thus officially became
Tarantula Suisse SA, the group’s representative in Switzerland. Tarantula is also
represented in the following countries: France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the United
Kingdom. Thanks to this tie-up, Tarantula Suisse can develop and strengthen its
European co-productions, especially those involving the French language, and can
benefit from Tarantula's structures and networks.
Tarantula Suisse SA produces fiction feature films such as Xavier Ruiz's "Neutre", Elena
Hazanov's "Love Express", Ruxandra Zenide's "Ryna", Jean-Baptiste Leonetti's "Carré
Blanc", and Xavier Ruiz's "Verso". But it also produces cinema and/or TV documentaries
such as "Togo, le football et la politique ne font qu’un" by Pierre Morath and Nicholas
Peart, "Geisha, le crépuscule des fleurs" by Romain Guélat and "Swiss made in
Hollywood" by Xavier Ruiz. Tarantula Suisse SA has two producers: Xavier Ruiz, who is
a company shareholder and producer of fiction feature films, and Sandra K’Bourch, who
has been working at Tarantula ever since it was set up and who for the last two years
has specialised in documentary films.
