Tathastu began as a quiet dream in the heart of the jungle.
What was meant to be just one villa, a personal retirement retreat nestled in the wilderness, soon drew the interest of friends and fellow nature lovers who longed for a similar escape. As plans evolved, we took back those villas and started Tathastu as a soulful wildlife resort.
The vision expanded, beginning with Pench in 2013, and growing into Kanha, Tadoba, Bandhavgarh, and Satpura. Soon, it will take root in the pristine wilderness of Panna, Sanjay Dubri, and other destinations.
Rather than limit the experience to a few, we reimagined the space as something more, a retreat built on the pillars of SEWAA: Service, Experience, Wellness, Adventure, and Art. A place where creativity, comfort, and the spirit of the forest coexist. A space to pause, reconnect, and rediscover what truly matters.
The name “Tathastu” wasn’t born from a branding board, but from a dream, a divine whisper from the universe that simply said, “Tathastu” (as you desire). It became our name, our blessing, and the purpose guiding everything we do.
Tathastu isn’t just a destination, it’s a dream fulfilled.
Our soulful retreats are woven across some of India’s most enchanting wildernesses, from tiger-laced forests of Madhya Pradesh to the dense reserves of Maharashtra. Whether it’s tribal folklore in Pench, Bahmni trails of Kanha, lagoon views at Bandhavgarh, wildlife at Tadoba, or raw terrain in Satpura, every destination has a distinct flavor.
From Caves, Tents, Treehouses to Villas, Pool Suites, Mud Rooms, and Mongolian Yurts, each stay is crafted to immerse you in the landscape. With safaris, birdwatching, music, tribal dinners, heated pools, nature walks, and soulful surprises, Tathastu is where nature meets soul.
