TechMex Austin Overview

TechMex Austin, the Austin Chapter of the Red Global de Profesionistas Mexicanos en el Extranjero, was created to: (a) Generate a network of Mexican professionals, entrepreneurs, and scientists who live in Austin, TX. (b) Create a liaison that facilitates communication and the search for information between its members and their counterparts in Mexico. (c) Promote Science, Technology, and Innovation at an academic and professional level. (d) Facilitate the generation of projects related to Science and Technology and academic exchanges focused on research, development, and business. (e) Assist Consulado General de México en Austin, Consejo de Promoción Turística, Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, and many other associations and organizations, in the organization of the annual project “Casa TechMex” in Austin. (f) Contribute to a better incorporation of Mexico into Austin’s economy, through the different business ties of the network members. (g) To promote Mexico abroad with a special focus in Austin TX and more extensively in Texas and the United States.
