Background:
Technology Ideation, under Eugene Francis, is redefining solution development and problem-solving through the online deployment of “The Tech-ID Innovation Ecosystem Platform & Forums.”
Challenge:
Innovation is plagued by self-inflicted wounds that can derail even the most promising solutions.
Breaking Down:
This challenge was examined from a LEAN Six Sigma Continuous Improvement perspective, identifying Status Quo Bias, Insufficient Support, and a severe lack of Diversity of Perspective as the three most significant contributors.
Rebuilding:
To address these challenges head-on, Mr. Francis developed an online all-inclusive and open-topic Innovation Ecosystem, Platform, and Ideation Forums.
Outcome:
This Ecosystem is now identifying and supporting significant breakthrough solutions to existing problems and cross-industry/cross-science applications of solutions.

The Ecosystem we have built functions like a high-velocity online accelerator, leveraging and merging the concepts of crowdsourcing, social media, and web services platforms.
The Forums are focused on creating solutions to challenges, identifying new applications for existing technologies/capabilities, and driving their development through to implementation. The breadth of our community offers the ability to solve most challenges across any industry, science, sector, etc.
Because the community is very broad in its makeup, challenges/solutions are evaluated from a vast number of perspectives, both within and outside the specialty of the topic. To provide an analogy using an actual presentation event, would you consult with a Marine Biologist to solve an Aerodynamics challenge? Most would not, and we ask, “Why not?” Aerodynamics is closely related to Hydrodynamics, and Hydrodynamics is Fish! Over a dozen collaborations were established from this one presentation alone.
