Welcome to TECHSTART - taking the first step together. It's no secret that the first rung of the tech job ladder is often a daunting one. Despite the existence of numerous well-intentioned support programs, many young people still face a significant barrier: the job itself. Finding it, and once found, keeping it. TechStart exists to remove that barrier. Techstart, a not-for-profit with a social mission has the heart of a charity and the mindset of a business. We’re committed to working hand in hand with our participants, guiding them through their employment journey in the tech world and ensuring that they have the tools and support they need to succeed. It's the finding of the job that presents the biggest barrier for so many young people looking to start their work-life. Through on-the-job training and real work placements our 6 month employment and training programme equips young people to take their first steps in building a career in the Tech industry. OUR MISSION Our mission is transparent: to showcase that alternative pathways to employment, beyond conventional recruitment channels and apprenticeships, are not only viable but also effective. Through tailored employment opportunities and comprehensive training, we empower young people to embark on their tech journey with confidence and competence, ensuring that everyone has an equal chance to succeed in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
