Our 4 week, externally accredited TEFL course is held at our training centre in central Toulouse, overlooking the beautiful Jardin de Plantes. The course is entirely in class and contains around 140 hours of classroom time including at least 6 hours observed teaching practice, teaching mainly French people living locally. The course runs from 9am am to 6,30 pm Monday to Friday for 4 weeks, and courses are held year round, including August.
We also offer a range of professional development courses for those who are already TEFL qualified, and a blended TEFL course for those unable to come to Toulouse for the 4 weeks.
France Travail will often fund trainees who are registered as unemployed with them.
A range of accommodation options is available, with no placement fee.
We offer lifetime job guidance for wherever you would like to teach, as well as detailed information about how to set up as a freelance teacher in France.
Since opening in 2009, we have trained over 800 teachers, most of whom are now teaching in France and around the world.
Past trainees have loved not only the course and the supportive and highly qualified trainers, but also the location. Toulouse, “La Ville Rose” is a lively and laid back southern French city of some 500,000 inhabitants, with a distinct Spanish influence. The Pyrenees, Bordeaux, Biarritz and San Sebastian are all just a few hours train ride away.
