“Turkish Expats in Denmark” is an association that aims to assist and support Turkish professionals, government officials, academics, and students in higher education who have recently relocated to Denmark. With initiatives from the Commercial Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy, we launched in Copenhagen in 2020 with the goal of helping Turkish expats integrate into Danish society, creating networking opportunities, and providing a platform for our members to interact and socialize. Since then, hundreds of new members have joined us, and as of November 2023, we have approximately 1.000 members and their families on our website.
Our members are highly skilled professionals who work at well-known companies such as Novo Nordisk, Maersk, Lego, Siemens, and others. They work as engineers, doctors, managers, scholars, and more, and they want to maintain their ties with Türkiye to benefit from the knowledge and experiences of those who came before them, as well as to pass on their own knowledge to others and support the community.
Our platform has allowed us to come together, meet new people with similar backgrounds, and benefit from the vast amount of information each member brings to the table. It has also helped us establish new professional connections. In February 2023, we established an association to take this step even further.
“Danimarka 101” is the Turkish name for “Denmark101”, which is the social platform and website created by TEID to bring our members together. The platform is designed to provide a space for our members to interact and socialize with each other. Through Danimarka 101, TEID members can access a range of resources, including information about job opportunities, educational programs, and social events. The platform also serves as a forum for members to share their experiences, ask questions, and offer advice to others who may be facing similar challenges.
