The Telfer Capital Fund, part of the Capital Markets Program, is the leading student investment fund at the University of Ottawa. Established in 2015, the Telfer Capital Fund provides admitted students of the Capital Markets Program with the opportunity to manage $640,000 in committed capital and invest in North American equities on behalf of the university pension fund. Students are fully responsible for all investment decisions and regularly meet with industry professionals to expand their network within capital markets.
Admittance into the Capital Market's Program is both selective and competitive, with only 10-15 students admitted each year. The Telfer Capital Fund plays a major role in bridging the gap between the classroom and the financial workplace and proudly supports the career preparation and development process of Telfer students.
