The Bob Pike Group Overview
The Bob Pike Group educates corporate trainers through modelling an interactive, participant-centered format that allows trainers to move away from lecture and improve learner retention. Since 1979, more than 100,000 trainers have gone through our train-the-trainer workshops and are now breathing new life into the corporate training function through participant-centered learning which has increased on-the-job application and interest by participants who willingly want to attend training. We use group interaction over 80 percent of the time. Typically, most training sessions use a lecture-based teaching approach for 80-90 percent of the content and one or two group activities to change the pace. In all we do at The Bob Pike Group, you might say we want to put into practice what Confucius knew back in 451 B.C. when he observed: "What I hear, I forget; what I see, I remember; but what I do I understand."
