To Assist less able people to find gainful employment by: mentoring, coaching, training and development activities; so that they have confidence to engage with local community and potential employer
To create a one stop centre for a large number of less able people to receive support and directions so that they are able to be more: independent, self sustaining, less depending on social services and other support agencies.
By fulfilling this vision it will benefit the parents of less able people and will provide a respite from daily challenges of managing their less able person.
In Leicestershire there are more than 15,000 less able people and the sad fact is 95% are unemployed. this applies to UK as a whole where we have 1.7 million less able again with 95% unemployment.
Our dream and aspiration is to make the difference and improve this staggering unemployment rate in this sector.
