Centre for Advanced Manufacturing

The Centre for Advanced Manufacturing (CfAM) is based at the University of Bolton and provides inspiration in advanced manufacturing solutions to visitors and students alike. The CfAM has a simple mission; to make additive manufacturing, composites, and material testing capabilities physically and financially accessible to students and businesses, both locally and nationwide. The main benefit of working with the CfAM is our research and development experience across industries and technologies. We want to support businesses in aerospace, automotive, medical, dental, oil & gas and other industries with the implementation and development of Advanced Manufacturing technology in their processes. We aim to do this by providing consultancy and collaborative R&D projects, offering 3D printing and materials testing services and assisting with other Advanced Manufacturing processes.
