The Chicago Bureau Overview

The Chicago Bureau is a non-for-profit organization founded in the summer of 2012. We are professionals experienced in investigative journalism who use The Bureau to train and mentor young journalists in important issues weighing on today's youth. Via our online news hub, we strive to move forward the conversation on vital youth policy concerns. The inspiration for the Bureau came from journalism educator Eric Ferkenhoff's wish to mentor young reporters in exploring juvenile justice issues affecting Chicago; he believes the best method to teach journalism is in its practice.
