Offering an expansive deck from which to view the forest and mountains, The Cub Inn B&B is located in Groveland, California 24 miles (39 km) from Yosemite National Park west gate. The property sits on three wooded acres. Our neighbors are deer, jack rabbits and the occasional bear. The deck allows for outside dining, reading, socializing with other guests as well as the hosts and star-gazing. There are four guest rooms. Two are on the lower level and two on third level. The dining area is on the main floor where breakfast is served at 0800. The great room is for the enjoyment of everyone with entertainment including music and videos. card games and general story-telling by the innkeeper. Children are welcome at the Cub Inn. Please include them in the total number of guests when making reservations. The two first floor rooms offer private entry, parking next to the room and a 100 sq ft slate patio with chairs for enjoying nature outdoors. The two third floor rooms are carpeted with a forest view and log walls. These rooms can be home to up to six guests. A complete balanced breakfast is served every day on the main floor at 0800. The Cub Inn provides refrigerators and microwaves for your convenience. The main floor, entry to the deck, offers a Keurig brewing device with an assortment of teas, apple cider, cocoa and coffee for guests' use 24 hours per day. There are three dogs living here; Avery, Reggie and Cubbie. They are large but very friendly dogs, They do not have access to guest room, but may well greet you at the gate.. You may bring a dog with you if you let us know in advance. Pets are normally assigned to first floor rooms to allow easy outdoor access. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surrounding areas. Some of these are wine tasting, a nearby golf course, casinos, stables and alpine and Nordic ski areas. Located in the Mother Lode area of California, there are many towns dating back to the Gold Rush of the 1840's. Each one can be found to have at least one saloon dating back to the old days. Visible in most are the original jails used to hold prisoners caught claim jumping, cattle rustling and any number of other criminal behaviors.
