The DJ Awards was formed in 1998 by José Pascual and Lenny Krarup to recognise and celebrate achievements in dance music. Since then the annual event has grown in reputation, scale and reach and is always attended by the biggest names in the electronic music industry. Previous winners include legends such as Daft Punk, Fernandisco, Pete Tong, Basement Jaxx and Carl Cox with previous awards held at Pacha and Hï Ibiza.
Each year, the DJ Awards consider hundreds of artists across a dynamic mix of categories that evolve to reflect the ever-changing sounds, trends, and scenes shaping the global dance music landscape. In 2024, the DJ Awards team introduced 11 music categories spotlighting the hottest sounds of the moment.
Now widely recognised as ‘The Oscars of Dance Music,’ winning a DJ Award is a prestigious milestone, with recipients proudly showcasing their accolade in bios and interviews for years to come.
