The Food Safety Professionals Group began in 2012 in the Chicago area. A small group of like-minded professionals met once per quarter to network, discuss challenges and best practices in a non-competitive environment.
In 2020, we decided to transition to virtual meetings, which allowed us to open our sessions to more professionals globally. We now have representation from North & South America, Belgium Bulgaria, France, Germany, UK, UAE, South Africa and Australia.
On January 29, 2025 The Food Safety Professionals Group incorporated as a non-profit association.
