The Gearshed is sinds 2014 een speciaalzaak voor jacht, schietsport en outdoor. Het concept van The Gearshed kenmerkt zich door vernieuwing, een Amerikaanse levensstijl en de filosofie dat jagers, sportschutters en outdoorsmen alles onder één dak moeten kunnen vinden.
The Gearshed is overgenomen door een nieuwe eigenaar, die een verdere invulling zal geven aan het geïnitieerde concept. Middels allereerst een uitgebreide inventarisatie van de modernste jacht- en outdoortechnieken wereldwijd wordt het ingeslagen pad van vernieuwing gecontinueerd. Onder leiding van de nieuwe eigenaar Robert Bijlsma wordt, ook nu al achter de schermen, constructief gebouwd aan een voor Europa uniek winkelconcept onder de nieuwe naam Barrel and Boar - for hunters and outdoorsmen.
Alle garantieverplichtingen die The Gearshed is aangegaan jegens haar klanten, worden onverkort overgenomen door Barrel & Boar BV. Op basis hiervan kunnen de relaties met zowel klanten als leveranciers dan ook met vertrouwen worden voortgezet.
