Tired of not knowing where your food comes from especially when you go to restaurants? Shocked to find all sorts of garbage on the beach during your holidays? Suffocating during summer because of air pollution? Sad to see that your next photo safari will only be possible from a zoo because wildlife goes extinct? Because we know the tourist industry is generating billions every year, we know that our voice as tourists can be powerful. The GreenPick aims to empower you to make a better travel choice, a choice that matters for you and for the planet. We will rate touristic places around the world on their "greenness" and aim to inform you of the practices individual hotels and restaurants may have. Pick the place that meets your values and cares for the planet. How does it work? We are interviewing hotels and restaurants based on a questionnaire we created, after many researches. establish a rating and visit as many places as possible ourselves to give you the most accurate evaluation regarding food, energy, environment, water and waste management. As there a millions of touristic facilities out there, we are developing a tool that will allow anybody to review the places of their choice by themselves. Currently, the GreenPick is looking for designers and developers but first needs investors. Want to be part of the project? As the GreenPick is still under development, we are looking for as many talents and brains as possible to develop further.
