Every day in the UK, 18 people choose to take their own life. Thats 18 people who feel their only option is to no longer carry on.
The current waiting list for those needing help via the NHS is 12 weeks, however many people in this position simply do not have this time to wait.
The Hike With Mike Foundation looks to address this by hosting organised hikes and events. All funds raised from these events goes towards funding private counselling for those who may be either stuck on a waiting list, or unable to get the help they need through conventional channels.
Despite only launching one year ago, to date we have raised over £10,000 in offline donations alone, been featured twice on BBC tv, been endorsed by the worlds biggest outdoor clothing brand, made over 3 million social media impressions, and have already helped many individuals by paying for private counselling sessions.
