The Home Front Cares provides emergency and responsive support and grants for Colorado’s military members, veterans and their families, who have been impacted by service to our Nation. Our grants pay for essential life expenses, such as rent, utilities and transportation. We serve the entire state of Colorado and all branches of service, including Guard and Reserve.
As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan wind down, our clients are now almost all veterans struggling with the transition to civilian life, as well as Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injuiries or other physical or emotional wounds. We receive no funding from the Federal Government -- we rely entirely on grants and donations. Since 2003, we have raised more than $8.5 million and helped thousands of veterans and military families in need.
