The Liberato Overview

The Liberato at Howard University is a quarterly, nonpartisan political journal and dynamic online platform produced entirely by undergraduate students. This publication seeks to enlighten Howard's campus on a broad range of political events across the globe, providing a platform for students, regardless of concentrations, experiences, or political leanings, to express political views. The Liberato is a community of student writers dedicated to producing introspective and stimulating pieces on current events and relevant political issues. Before The Liberato, Howard University students did not have an official platform to engage in political discourse and freely share their unique opinions. Seeking to fill this need, a group of students on Howard’s campus came together and created the first ever political review at Howard University. What started as just a conversation between three friends, has now grown into a publication with 25+ writers and additional staff members.
