The Linen Project startte in 2018 met de vraag of het mogelijk is om in Nederland weer je eigen textiel te verbouwen met als doel relaties te herstellen en om vitale kennis van maakprocessen te herontdekken en te reactiveren. In mei 2022 is in Nederland voor het eerst sinds de Tweede Wereldoorlog lokaal biologisch dynamisch geteeld vlas tot linnen geweven. In de afgelopen jaren is vitale kennis, van landbouw tot weven, herontdekt en zijn processen opnieuw vormgegeven: The Linen Project heeft een eerste productieketen tot stand gebracht in verbondenheid met elkaar en met de aarde.
