"THE Lymphedema Clinic" is a dedicated clinic to the treatment of lymphedema.
A specialized team, consisted by Surgeons, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Trainers, Dietitians and Psychologists, provides the "State of Art" treatment in every lymphedema patient.
Despite the cause of lymphedema, such as congenital or primary (absent of lymph nodes or lymphatic vessels or lymph circulation dysfunction), or secondary e.g. after cancer therapy, post traumatic or skin infection, our team offers a personalized and individual treatment plan to each patient with an aim to Cure the disease.
In an "all-inclusive" like setting, all patients can be seen and examined at the same time by a doctor, a physiotherapist, a dietitian and a trainer.
The meticulous physical clinical examination and the Fluoroscopic Indocyanine Green (ICG) Lymphography of the lymphatic system, are not only used to diagnose lymphedema, but also to assess how well the lymphatic system is functioning. Additional examination include a Lymphoscintigraphy, a lymphatic MRI, and a Genetic profile.
Βased on the results of the examination we provide the most appropriate personalized treatment for each patient.
THE Lymphedema Clinic Cure program include lymphatic drainage techniques, bandage, lymphatic microsurgical treatment with lymph node transfer, lymphovenous anastomosis, liposuction, skin and wound care, nutrition guidance, aerobic exercises - yoga - pilates, psychology support, application of elastic garments, regular follow-up.
In addition we provide regular educational programs to all lymphedema patients, as well as advanced training in all lymphedema-realted Health Professionals, such as traditional and complementary medical doctors, physiotherapists, nursing staff, dieticians and several others.
