The Noble Neighbor connects award-winning authors with kids in historically underserved communities, giving every child who participates a free copy of that author’s book to take home with them.
All children should have access to books and the authors who write them, regardless of their zip code. But too often, authors are only sent to visit more affluent schools where they are likely to sell books; and kids who live and go to school in lower-income communities often have access to few, if any, age-appropriate books.
THE NOBLE NEIGHBOR is working to address this inequity by bringing nationally-recognized authors to the schools that otherwise wouldn't likely get visits, and making sure every child gets a free book of their own.
