The People's Fridge (TPF) is a one ton, three door florist refrigerator located in the 52nd street corridor in West Philadelphia. Founded in 2020 in response to heightened food insecurity amid the pandemic, TPF provides 24/7 access to free groceries, homemade meals, and other resources, no questions asked.
We believe that every individual, regardless of their background, should have access to basic necessities like food and water. Our primary objective is to ensure fresh, accessible food for anyone who desires it.
Inspired by trailblazing Black and Brown activists in Philadelphia and beyond, our network of volunteers is committed to promoting liberation, autonomy, and joy through solidarity and mutual aid. Share what you can, take what you need.
