The Private Collection is a wine membership, exclusively available to its members. There is space for 111 members only in the whole of South Africa, that can be part of The Private Collection.
Where does the number 111 come from, you may ask? Our founding members are big sports fans, and in cricket there is a term called Nelson, which relates to the number 111. (Go look it up, it is a fascinating story). And that's how the number of memberships that we were going to put out, got established.
The Private Collection Wine Membership is an unique opportunity to be part of something truly special. This wine club caters for the high end individual (or lover of exclusive wines), wanting to build his own wine library, as he can create his own label, and in that way create a legacy for his family, through this exclusive club. If you are looking for wine that is not available to the public at all, then The Private Collection is your hunting ground.
Wine is art, and we are creating the perfect masterpiece for our members by making sure that we put the best wines in the bottle the Cape Winelands has to offer, leaving no stone unturned to create this masterpiece.
Our slogan is "The secret is in the cork", meaning the Estate producing our wine each year, will be revealed when pulling the cork.
