The RoadSide Bookstore is India's largest books dropshipping start-up, and the first to offer same-day delivery in India. Founded by a high-school student, Kush Malpani, in 2020, we are the No. 1 B2C books platform, selling books at discounts of 70-80% off MRP, and providing doorstep express delivery to all customers.
Our USPs are: The extremely competitive pricing of our products, the method of dropshipping that we practice (Kush Malpani is one of the first social entrepreneurs to follow this in India), and the quality of our services.
To date, we have received 50+ orders, sold 200+ books, accumulated 300+ members, in the space of just 2 weeks. Additionally, we have 4000+ monthly visitors from 35+ countries and 5 continents.
Our business model is such that we require no warehousing, no upfront inventory, no liability, and use a completely asset-light model, which is what makes us so unique.
Our initiative was started with the purpose of providing struggling roadside book vendors of the iconic booklane of Flora Fountain, Mumbai, with a source of income in the midst of the pandemic, as they were struggling with 0 demand. Thus, we have expanded their reach from just a few areas of Mumbai, to 35+ countries across the world.
