The Rose Paterson Trust has been founded in honour of Rose Paterson, who took her own life in June 2020. Her death has made the world an infinitely worse place, but perhaps through our work, her story can be a source of inspiration and hope one day.
Our mission is to support the organisations and individuals combatting the suicide epidemic through three objectives:
1) Foundational research - We fund, consolidate and conduct research into suicide and its prevention.
2) Investing in excellence - We identify the most promising and effective suicide awareness, prevention and bereavement-oriented organisations, and provide them with financial support and media publicity.
3) Driving change - We campaign for national policy reforms that aid the prevention of suicide.
If we can help stop just one family from experiencing the extreme anguish that we are going through, this initiative will have been worthwhile.
