SCREAM Initiative is a nonprofit/nongovernmental organization established on 11th March 2019. SCREAM Initiative is an assistance support centre for victims/survivors of sexual assault and gender-based violence. We are also an advocacy organization to reduce sexual assault and gender-based violence, especially against women and children drastically.
It was born out of a burden to reach out/speak for victims/survivors of any form of sexual assault and also with the focus to reduce/prevent sexual violence against women and children.
S.C.R.E.A.M is an acronym we believe are the six steps to Eliminate Abuse;
S – Stand up
C – Cry out
R – Reach out
E – Eliminate abuse
A – Allow justice
M – Make a difference.
Our members/volunteers are drawn from all spheres of life and profession e.g. students, working class, artisan etc. Volunteers encourage more Nigerians especially youth to join the movement to stand against sexual violence in our society.
