We are a group of former athletes who use philanthropy as a means of social justice advocacy championing Black girls and women in sports.
The Shero Plan was created in 2016 as a sport-based youth development organization that empowers female student-athletes to set goals for their future and to be a leader affecting change in the global community.
Since our founding in 2016, we have been determined to make an impact in our community and we've been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our organization upon: support, empowerment, diversity, inclusion, and growth.
In 2020, we extended our organizational structure to the giving circle model and established "The Squad". We see the value in everyone and are confident that together, we can be a catalyst for positive change for Black Girls and Women. Through sustained momentum, we strive to display the conviction behind our beliefs.
