The Strenue Trust helps companies achieve the highest possible BEE rating while investing in education in our country. The Trust is structured to accommodate the various elements of BEE spend (Skills Development, Socio-economic Development, Enterprise and Supplier Development), directing this spend into bursaries, learnerships and career empowerment for talented children from disadvantaged backgrounds. We work in partnership with BEE consulting specialists to ensure that all structures and paperwork are watertight, and that companies maximise their BEE points.
The best investment we can make into our country’s future is through educating its children. The Strenue Trust invests with purpose, identifying talented learners and facilitating their education at Johannesburg’s best state schools. King Edward VII School, from within which the Strenue Trust originated, has been a leading school in South Africa since its inception in 1902, and has consistently produced leaders across industry, academia, business, arts, culture and sport. Focussing on all children, the Strenue Trust also provides bursaries for girls to attend schools such as Parktown Girls, and for disabled children at Hope School.
The strength of these schools has always been in harnessing the diversity of inner-city communities and providing talent with opportunity. Attending these schools allows these children to realise their potential, and to become solid employees, innovative entrepreneurs and the leaders of the future.
The Trust ensures that the learners sponsored by us are given support beyond the funding itself, with mentorship and academic assistance to ensure that they can develop their talent optimally.
We deeply appreciate our donors and work hard to ensure they are kept up to date on the progress of the learners they sponsor, whether through quarterly reports, or the ability to interact with the learners themselves. The gift is often in the giving, and being able to see the difference.
