The Sydney String Centre was established in 1991 by David and Carmel Glanville to provide Sydney with a truly specialised centre for violins, violas, cellos and double basses. Carmel's years of experience as a player and teacher and David's expertise as a maker and repairer within the music industry create a unique situation where sound advice can be given and supported in a practical way. These days Sydney String Centre is a truly family company with David and Carmel's three children, Douglas, Libby and Max all involved in the business.
