The VRI is a partnership between Traralgon Neighbourhood Learning House and ReActivate Latrobe Valley working with local stakeholders and community to create a space for learning by doing. We aim to foster creativity, connection, making and doing with our new venue.
The VRI in Traralgon is close to CBD, public transport and will cater to a range of community potentials by providing a community garden, kitchen and performance space to enable sharing what we know with one another.
The following projects run from The VRI:
The Digital Shed allows students to share what they know about technology. Local businesses, Secondary Schools and Federation University provide learning opportunities for secondary school students who volunteer or participate through school programs. Members of the public are able to get 1:1 assistance with technology.
Serving the Valley is a pre-accredited hospitality training course that was developed in partnership with local hospitality businesses.
Alt_Art is a collective of local emerging artists that offer exhibition, workshops, events and networks to local artists.
