The Big Music Project equips young people with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to create a successful future in the music and creative industries. We work with the biggest brands in music, breaking barriers and creating and highlighting the best opportunities for young people across the UK, running everything from training schemes and careers advice to work experience, internships and hands on skills building projects. We inspire young people by showcasing the range of roles within the music and creative industries, from the post room to the studio, improving their employment prospects and motivating them to launch their careers. The Big Music Project is a partnership between Global (who own Capital, Capital XTRA, Radio X and others) and UK Youth (the largest national charity for the youth sector), funded by The Big Lottery Fund.
